Good Performance
The Encore series was purpose designed to achieve the highest performing low-profile subwoofer in car audio history, featuring a huge, 3-inch dual voice coil, capable of handling over 1000 watts RMS and up to 4000 watts (6 dB crest-factor) musicpower. This represents an unprecedented performance envelope, including a ‘best of breed’ 19mm one-way, linear XMax, for low-profile car audio subwoofers. Available in both 12 inch and 15 inch versions, the mounting depth of each are incredibly svelte 4.9 and 5.9 inches, this ‘strategic advantage’ allows the 12 to fit in normal 10” applications, and the 15 to ‘fit’ into typical 12” spaces. This permits the 4K drivers to be integrated into any vehicle platform, including full-size truck applications.

Incorporating an extended, ‘SMG’ (Shaped Magnetic Gap) design, plus upper and lower alloy flux-stabilization rings, as well as our proprietary ICAR Aluminum intercooler, as introduced in the original Elite series. Additional key features include our proprietary ‘SuperCool’ motor venting technology which uses forced-air to cool the internal heat sinks, which allows these to effectively cool the voice coil, due to its intimate location, regardless of the position of the coil. This alone makes the Encore 4K series unique in the car audio subwoofer realm.
