Designed specifically for either sealed-box or infinite-baffle (typically trunk system) applications, the Elite series, now in its third generation, includes many advanced, upscale features found only on significantly more expensive subwoofers. Sharing the same low-profile SLX cast-alloy frame as used on Evo series, this compact, resonance-free chassis allows the Elite Series to maintain a very low-profile form-factor, yet it offers a performance envelope that is significantly greater than that of most full-format subwoofers.

Initially available as the ‘top of line’ 10 inch model
The Elite series was designed for use in a wide array of high-power, applications, from 600 to 750 watts RMS. The signature features of the new Elite series are its use of premium CCAW voice coils, plus the exclusive, ‘ICAR’ (Inter-Cooled Aluminum Radiator). This patent-pending feature incorporates the benefits of an integral heatsink, and features a proprietary, Bi-radial design, to extract heat away from the voice coil, by conducting it to the cast Aluminum basket, while simultaneously using forced-air cooling, thru the ICAR channels, while exhausting hot-air.
This proprietary thermal technology
Delivers the compound benefits of reduced “power-compression,” for more output, plus increased power-handling and also acts as a radial, ‘flux-modulation’ ring, which surrounds the coil, offering reduced Inductance, while delivering superior transient-performance. This advanced feature, combined with the upper Aluminum ‘Shorting Ring’ ensures the voice coil remains well within its thermal operating range, for reduced distorting and improved sound quality.
